Half the battle of taking the SAT or ACT is being prepared. On the night before your test, make sure to gather all the materials you will need so you don't have to scramble before your test.
You will need to take:
Pencils with good points and erasers
Admission ticket
Calculator with charged battery
Identification
Sweater
Snack
Get a good night’s sleep.
Eat breakfast before you go.
Take a sweater. It might be cold. Make sure you can take it off, though, in case it is hot.
Take a snack to eat on your break. Even if you're not hungry, still try to eat it so that you aren't starving during your last section that will happen around lunchtime.
Take your identification and admission ticket.
Don’t stay up late studying the night before. If you don’t know it by then, you’re never going to know it.
Plan to be there at least 15 minutes early.
If you are going to a location you've never been before, consider having a parent take you so you don't have to deal with the stress of possibly getting lost or not being able to find parking.
Don’t let yourself get intimidated by the test. You have spent a lot of time preparing and you are ready for it.
Finally, remember that this is just one test on one day. It does not define you in ANY way. If you rock the test, awesome. If not, you can take it again. Always keep this in perspective.
Good luck!
